Each year, the visits and traineeships scheme at the PACOMARCA ranch receives between 300 and 800 people interested in finding out about the genetics program it is conducting. Visitors come from all the alpaca-raising regions of Peru and from different foreign countries which include Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, USA, Japan, Australia, UK, Switzerland, Norway, Korea, and China.

During day visits and three-day traineeships, PACOMARCA shares with peruvian alpaca producers, technicians and professionals all the knowledge obtained at the ranch and the programs it is implementing. These visits are very popular among organized groups of alpaca producers from different parts of Peru.

The most noteworthy features shown to visitors include the establishment of a genetic improvement program, the selection of male animals for breeding, data management, mechanized shearing, health and hygiene, feeding and reproduction.
