Inca Esquila is a mechanized shearing technique developed by PACOMARCA with the aim of improving the yields of the annual alpaca shearing operation while ensuring the wellbeing of the animal and physical safety of the shearing personnel.
This method has been adopted officially by the peruvian government as the national technical standard on shearing (NTP 231.370-2014).
PACOMARCA offers the inca shearing service free of charge to alpaca producers, and guarantees their receiving direct payment without intermediaries and the best possible price in the market. Furthermore, batches of alpaca fiber shorn by this method are included in the PACOMARCA brand, which makes the fiber 100% traceable.
