PACOMARCA
Is home for more than 2500 alpacas, which are shorn once a year.
INCA SHEARING
A team from PACOMARCA visits the alpaca breeders to shear their animals and purchase the fiber directly.
INCA’S LOT
Contest organised by PACOMARCA and Inca Tops in which each community presents its highest quality quintal (46Kg of fiber) to compete for especial prizes. (houses, animals, and shearing equipment and training)
COMMUNITIES /PRODUCERS
PACOMARCA visits the communities or individual breeders to purchase the fiber directly.
SORTING
All the traceable batches are hand-sorted by our craftswomen specialists.
SCOURING
The fiber is scoured using a biodegradable detergent and 1200 solar panels to heat the water.
COMBING
The material is processed into tops at the Inca Tops Plant. Tops have the OEKO-TEX class 1 certification.
SPINNING / DYEING
Batches of fiber may be dyed with reach-certified colorants. We are able to spin yarns to metric counts ranging from 0.4 to 120.
TRACEABLE PRODUCT
The finished product is 100 % traceable.
